COMMUNITY OUTREACH

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

– 1 Peter 4:10

Jesus tells us to serve others, and Good Shepherd seeks to serve in various capacities.

Good Shepherd provides its building as a meeting place to local community organizations:

  1. Soccer Shots - This soccer program provides age-appropriate curriculum with an emphasis on character devleopment and skill building.

  2. Boy Scouts - The Boy Scout program seeks to instill in youth values such as trustworthiness and good citizenship.   Older scouts are trained to be responsible citizens, self-reliant and to exemplify good character.

  3. Narcotics Anonymous - NA is a nonprofit organization of individuals for whom drugs had become a major problem, and who now meet regularly to help each other stay clean.

  4. Plastic Model Society - This group is dedicated to promoting modeling as a hobby while providing a social atmosphere to modelers to share their skills and engage in friendly competition.

  5. Steel City Scrappers - These scrapbookers meet to socialize, have fun, and get their scrapbooking done.  They share techniques, trade tips, and inspire one another to present their cherished memories in a scrapbook
