Classes & Programs
Good Shepherd Christian Preschool offers many classes and programs for you to choose from for your child.
Toddler Time
A two day, one and a half hour program for 2 year-olds.
Your child must be 2 years old by September 1.
This program is designed to help children become acquainted with a school environment. The children will learn through songs, books, and social interaction along with other students and adults during the classt time.
The class consists of no more than 6 children with a teacher and an assistant.
This program is offered only in the morning.
3 year-old Class
A two day, two and a half hour program for 3 year-olds.
Your child must be 3 years old by September 1.
This program is built around love, safety, independence and socialization. The children participate in activities which encourage cognitive development, enhance fine and gross motor skills, and promote social skills.
The class consists of no more than 14 children with a teacher and an assistant.
Parents may choose either morning or afternoon session.
Learning Together Class
A three day, two and a half hour combined program for 3 and 4 year-olds.
Your child must be 3 years old
by September 1.
This program enhances the child’s literary experiences as well as extending other core learning activities. The children participate in activities to encourage and develop their problem solving skills, social skills, and fine / gross motor skills.
The class consists of no more than 14 children with a teacher and an assistant.
This program is offered only in the morning.
4 year-old Class
A three day, two and a half hour program for 4 year-olds.
Your child must be 4 years old
by September 1.
This program focuses on preparing the children for Kindergarten or our Junior Kindergarten class. We concentrate in all areas of a 4-5 year old’s development, spotlighting the child’s social, emotional, and academic growth.
The class consists of no more than 16 children with a teacher and an assistant.
Parents may choose either a morning or afternoon session.
Junior Kindergarten Class
A five day program for 5 year-olds. This program meets from 9:30am until 1pm.
Your child must be 5 years old
by December 31st.
This program follows the Common Core Kindergarten standards for all subjects. The children are exposed to different learning styles, including tactile, visual, and auditory. Technology is used as an educational tool to aid in 21st century learning.
Children will bring their lunch to eat at school.
The class consists of no more than 12 children with a teacher and assistant.
Special Extended Day Programs are provided to give parents some flexibility in their schedules by allowing an earlier drop-off or a later pick-up time.
All of these programs are open to 3–5 year-olds and are offered before and/or after preschool sessions.
Lunch Bunch
This program gives children the opportunity to share a mealtime with their friends after or before preschool.
This program is offered Monday through Friday, 12:00pm - 1:00pm.
Parents should provide their child with a bag lunch and a beverage of their choice.
Children may participate in this program by registering on a month to month basis. Children may also register on a daily basis if spots are available.
Discovery Days
This program is currently offered on a daily basis in the afternoons, 12:00pm-3:00pm.
During this time, children will learn important social skills and participate in planned enrichment activities. During Discovery Days, children can engage in stories, songs, free play, playground time, games, art, and science.
Children may participate in this program by registering on a month to month basis. Children may also register on a daily basis if spots are available.
Soccer Shots
Soccer Shots is a leader in youth soccer development for children. This nationally recognized program offers a high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer.
This program is offered throughout the school year.
Registration is handled by Soccer Shots directly.
